Valerie Bertinelli and her husband Tom Vitale have announced that they are filing for legal separation, according to TMZ. The couple, who have been married for 26 years, have three children together.
Bertinelli was the star of the television show One Day at a Time from 1975 to 1984. Her father died at home when she was just five and Bertinelli’s mother was an alcoholic. She went on to tell Oprah that she lost all the adult teeth she’d had, and has of course had to undergo numerous dental procedures in order to recover.
Her most recent acting roles include parts in the Lifetime movies Home Improvement Christmas, Murder in Reno and A Friendship Reborn.
Vitale’s acting credits include Surviving the Cut, To Tell the Truth and Watching Ellie.
