CNN The Hollywood star says she’s learning to accept herself as she sees fit.
Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra has made her debut on TV as she reflects on life with her high-profile US singer husband Nick Jonas – and where she hopes it will take her.
The 36-year-old married the 22-year-old American singer in a ceremony in India last month, following an engagement six months earlier.
But Chopra says she’s learning to accept herself as she sees fit.
“I have to be comfortable with my body,” she tells CNN. “I am not big or really small and my husband is a musician and so I am now learning how to use the internet and I am loving it.”

She was speaking on the set of their US series, Game of Thrones, in which she plays the character Jeyne Poole. She recently shared a photo of herself as she shot the scene in a dressing room – clad in a skimpy black number.
But the new season was filmed last year, so she wasn’t ever given the opportunity to run around the set in her underwear.
“I wore sweatsuits [on set],” she says. “I was told ‘No!’ because that’s the cool thing about the show; there is nothing to do. So I was literally wearing hoodies and just trying to stay warm.”

But she says she doesn’t mind that she can’t do that on screen.
“I was excited because it was a fantasy series so I didn’t have to wear a costume,” she tells CNN. “I love to wear them [costumes]. I was trying to wear a dress for the red carpet, so people said ‘No!’”
But there have been rumours that Chopra, who has played villainous antagonist Jafar in the past three Harry Potter films, will portray one of the new characters in the new series, HBO programming chief Casey Bloys said.
Though her husband, who is her third husband, isn’t worried about their age gap.
“I worry about it because I have a daughter, so I worry about how she is going to see me,” Chopra says. “But I have a lot of respect for Nick, he is so young and so talented and so young I don’t see what is wrong with me, really.”

Chopra also jokes that her husband keeps her on her toes – but in a good way.
“He shows me how to use TikTok,” she says, referring to the popular app which enables users to record videos using their smartphones’ built-in camera.
She tells CNN that while the couple’s Indian culture means they don’t travel for a long time, when they do she tries to find something they can relate to.
“We do take holidays where there is an element of, where can we go somewhere that we can learn something and we find that in… but we are not full-time travellers at all.”
Chopra says she and Jonas, who has previously dated Selena Gomez and Miley Cyrus, are focusing on just being married.
She also says she would like children in the future, because “it’s a very important part of life, and to be around to watch them grow”.
