A young golfer beats out a legend, but what does it all mean?

With 12 tournament titles in his 89-year career, former South African golfer, Jack Newton, is the grand master of regional tournaments. Along with the Florida and the British Opens, the South African Masters is one of his most famous wins.

Emily Pedersen is just 19, which gives her plenty of time to win an event. Thanks to Parkinson’s disease, Newton got at least a year’s rest in each of the past six years and the rest, he says, is up to each golfer. That is why Pedersen won this week’s 2019 Saudi Ladies International Pro-Am at Royal Greens Resort in Riyadh, where her playing partner, Lora Choong, just finished winning the U.S. Women’s Amateur title.

“It’s really important to rest up and just keep practicing as well,” Pedersen told FOX News. “You have to play your game or it doesn’t work.”

FOX News Sports asks critics of the Saudi regime to share their opinions.
